I really want to learn to surf! But hey, I need to learn how to swim first. :( I gave up swimming lessons when I was 6 cos I just couldn’t float, and pretended to swim with my arms as I “walked” along the pool floor. The swimming group teased me so much I was too ashamed to return to lessons.
Now I’m almost 20 years old, and swimming lessons at my age are even more embarrassing, and I would DIE if someone I knew saw me learning. (I come from a school with a lot of swimming champions.) SIGH :(
